DMT, is a neurotransmitter
Dr. Strassman, who published the book on DMT:The Spirit Molecule
is SPECULATING that is produced by the pineal gland
pero this speculation still needs to be validated...meaning, wala pa talagang tests
to prove it is indeed produced by the pineal gland
although the chemical building blocks MAY be produced by the pineal gland since
neurotransmitters like serotonin (which has similar molecular structure with DMT is produced there)
Ang test lang talaga ni Dr. Strassman ay on volunteers to see the effects of this chemical
And the commonly observational results dito sa volunteers na tinurukan ng DMT
ay ung presence ng isang intellegent being other than the self
that may either be friendly or malevolent
and also the impediment of the senses and losing physical reality
lahat ng nakarecover after the DMT episode would say that
that it was an alternate reality, they cannot say it was hallucination
thus, its also possible that DMT has an effect with the portion of the brain that says
what is and what is not reality
Apparently, DMT is naturally produced in some known plants
and is such the basis for all drug-induced SHAMANIC journeys like ni Don Juan Matus
Kaya naman siguro naturally sa blood and urine, me DMT content tayo..
baka may nakakain na tayong hindi naten alam may DMT na pala
this stuff can be derived from plants and may be intravenously administered,orally taken or inhaled...
now, DMT is illegal in the U.S. because it really is a powerful psychoactive drug
Remember that serotonin and antidepressants of the same family of tryptophines
has caused a lot of Zoloft and Zyprexia drugged schoolchildren gunning down
classmates, teachers and bystanders...ang dami nang namatay at na-ospital bcoz of it
(reminds me of the case sa runaway jury...hehehe)
The statement that NDE's and birth have increased levels of DMT are also still a speculation
there is still no research evidence that theres is indeed an association
Dr. Rick Strassman admits to this (in his book0
which goes to show...dapat pa talaga more research before we can establish the relation
between DMT and the pineal gland...the pineal gland and seat of consciousness
Dr. Rick Strassman got his degree of Medicine from Stanford University
and is currently having his practice in New Mexico
but Dr. Rick strassman is also a Buddhist practitioner as well
Hindi kaya he is overly enthusiastic to prove the asociation?
However,this is indeed a milestone...hindi man niya na-prove talaga
but he opened the opened the doors for new researches and explorations
for new hypothesis and a lead towards this subject matter
that, I think, his legacy na iiwan for newbie scientists to conquer, kudos to him
just like Dr. Albert Einstein whose theory of relativity gave birth to Quantum Physics
Kahit hanggang ngayon, the scientific community doesnt have a unified stand
whether to accept or reject Quantum theories and their findings
It's really hard to prove that which is bounded by physical laws
or bounded by the physical senses
kaya nga siguro, the only way Dr. Strassman could do is speculate.
