^ One writer once said that God is not simply a "Supreme being," or one being among many, or one of the true things in the world (Like when we say: "There's you, and me, and this computer, and God"). He said that God is the sheer act of Being itself. He is the ground of all being, the Logos, the Word, who is intelligible or knowable. When we study the sciences, we presume at the outset that the physical universe is knowable. The name psychology itself presupposes that the mind (psych) can be studied and understood (-logy). Same with the other sciences, chemistry, biology, botany, etc. Physics, too, assumes that the material universe is capable of being known by the human mind. All these sort of corresponds to the idea that God is the ground of all Being, the sheer act of Being itself, the Word, who is knowable and intelligible. Our minds are always drawn to the truth. We seek the truth all the time. This longing for the truth is also a longing for God, who is Truth itself.

There's a quote that goes, "God is closer to us than we are to ourselves." I forgot who said it.
For me the quote is profound, because I believe that we are sort of strangers to our selves. I mean, our life is a mystery, even to ourselves, because we discover new things about ourselves as we continue in our journey in life. As we advance in age, we discover aspects of our selves, of our personality and character, that sometimes surprises us. If we grant that God exists and that He created us, that He is Life itself and that He brought forth life in the universe, then we can also grant that He knows every fiber of our being, that He knows us inside and out, and that He knows the secrets of our hearts, of our beings, that He knows who we truly are.

believing or non believing? it doesn't really matter, its all in our mind, whats important is the attitude of the believer or non believer,
If i hire workers, i never ask if he/shes an atheist or a god believer,
I look at his skills, & his attitude
not his concept of god
in fact im more weary/alarm working w/ people nga walay d**** d**** mag-sige ug buhi ug mga pulong sama sa- in jesus name, in gods time, god is good all the time, etc.
Manglimbawt ako balahibo cause more often than not these are the people na unjust ika deal, save to some few
We human think of extraordenaire when we think of GOD, when GOD is the basic one!!!
