We are the Cebu Arachnida Society.

"The common threads that bind us together are an interest in tarantulas, scorpions, and other arachnids and that we either need help from others, or have some to share. Here you'll find people you can talk with about your common interests and concerns.
The Cebu Arachnida Society aims to promote interest in the ecology, behaviour and taxonomy of arachnids in the Philippines especially in the Visayan region."

We are here to help each other, CAS was made to unite the Archnids hobbyist, we learn from each other, we share the knowledge about arachnids to our fellow members, not to claim that we are expert coz we are not, 4 years? 5 years? experience, 5? 10? 15? speciemen will not make you an expert, shame on you if you will claim that your an expert, what you/we accomplish is just the basic of this hobby, the reason why we are here coz we want to learn more, we want to share our ideas, we want to share what we learn.

If you think your expert about this, write a book, write caresheets, live in the forest and discover new speciemen. Or write a caresheet about our local Tarantulas or Scorpion, ID every tarantulas and scorpion located here in the Philippines which we dont have right now, if you do that or someone can accomplish this, then i will personally announce to the world your an expert.

We are still learning, so lets help each other to learn more, thats why CAS is here, its primary aim is to unite the members and start educating each other about arachnids and how to be good at it. And the most important one to educate the community about our hobby:

"• To circulate up to date and correct information about Philippine tarantulas, scorpions and other arachnids including identification, captive care, basic ecology, in order to eliminate common misconceptions."
