just because he discovered the truth about the council and that of the dark side doesn't mean he has joined the dark side. It is fairly obvious that Qui-gon is a Jedi. He just knows alot more than what the other common Jedi know. Mura na cya big brother who knows everything but still sides with teh Jedi. That count dude as was explained is a FALLEN jedi. by fallen, it means nga ning decide na gyud xa mu join sa dark side and deny the jedi and all their beliefs and responsibilities.
