Hi guys,
when is the next star party?
I'd like to attend one before I put my money in a 10 inch meade scope. or a celestron cpc 800?

there will be an activity this coming April 2-6, 2009 not sure with the date though and with the place maybe its in Ayala Center Cebu on the Terraces..the activity will be the 100 hours of Astronomy...

i didn't know Queen's guitarist is an astronomer!! COOOLL!!

i read his blog, now i realize this was what chris go was talking about last saturday free viewing of stereo pair which would give us the illusion in viewing an object in 3d. at first few moments, i actually find it hard adjusting my eyes viewing saturn(or was it saturn or jupiter, cant remember, was too busy focusing on which to focus.lols), ng libog ko kay ang right side ra akong nkita. nyahaha... la ko kasabot sa akong gibuhat tungod diay to sa parallax noh and now realized my mind is supposed to give me the illusion of a realistic planet(in 3D)!!! joke man ko uyy.. nah i was not too observant on what i was seeing. next time kabalo nko sa ako buhaton. nyehehe

the date will be from april 2-5, 2009, 100 Hours of Astronomy, it will be a worldwide celebration where people are encouraged to view the stars, planets and other celestial objects

and rodsky, last saturday it was also discussed re the name of the group and Amateur Astronomy Association was suggested..

probably we can organize our own star party before the 100 hours of Astronomy, so we can also brainstorm for names. Hopefully other interested istoryans can join us this time..

I Googled the name "Amateur Astronomy Association" and I got 13,600 hits :P So the group has to have a more specific name, something like "Amateur Astronomy Association of Cebu" or "Cebu Amateur Astronomy Association", or CA3 (CA cube) para dili maconfuse with other orgs that also have "Amateur Astronomy Association" in their group's name.
