why would it? flash drives are only storage spaces, therefore it will not affect the quality of the image. Unless, the image stored in the flash drive is low-res. I have been using flash drives to have my photos printed and have not ever encountered this problem.

Well this is what the sales girl in Columbia told me. I was shocked to see my pictures that was printed by them. it looked liked someone pissed on them. she told me that it was because i was using flash drive. Ang maayo kuno is to bring my sd or burn it sa cd. It was my first time to print pictures. I could not believe it. It looked so shitty. I m using a 10 megapixel dslr by the way.

can someone explain to me what happened?

i'm not sure what happened. as long as the pictures you stored on the card still has the maximum resolution (or at least not low res) then the storage media used should not affect the files stored on it. you should have asked that sales girl to explain why that is the case. I don't think she'd be able to give you a scientific answer.

The following day i met a guy who was in the photo developing business for over 25 years. He also told me that the flash drive wont make any difference. Mi palit pa gyud ko ug cd sa CD-R King which took me over 45 minutes to wait in line to make my order. You know how packed CD-R king is. The guy showed me a picture taken from his old cellphone with a 3 mega pixel cam and it was 10x better than what Columbia had done to my pics. I guess it was only an alibi sa salesgirl. wa pa gani cya mu offer ug refund. I told her if that is the case, you should warn or discourage people bringing in their flash drives to print their pics. Wa man cya ka tubag.

Well anyway, one thing for sure im not going back there to have my pictures printed. Im gonna try other shops. May gani 25 ka pics rato. gamay ra akong alkansi but it was a learning experience. hehe

guys, share lang ko sa ako experience, when using ur Flash drives or Mem cards in those labs, I suggest you try to lock it or freeze it before handing it over. Na virusan ako very clean laptop (I do a routine virus scan with 5 different scanners every week). I don't blame photoline as there are some Viruses na maka lusot sa AVG. Anyway, other than that...

NINDOT ang Photoline! Nahan kaayo ko!

for 1st time printers... tell them that no adjustments be made for you to compare the print to the colors rendered by your monitor and make necessary adjustments on your monitor after comparison. It is better to stick to one printer for your setting to be in conjunction with your printer's (shop) output. Experiments should be made.
