ya, gamay lagi tuod sweldo sa doctors diri compared sa mga OFW but at least duol sila sa ilang loved ones dba? regarding d pride thing, i agree w/ what others said na dli nmu maipagpalit ang pride of being a doctor & serving ur countrymen sa pera.. mao nay gitawag nga priceless! ok, f u work abroad, pride k sa imung family ky pde k nila ikapanghambog, natagaan nmu sila ug hayahay nga life yl ikaw dd2 todo kayod despite sa kamingaw ug ikaw dd2 pd wa igsapayan ang diskriminasyon against filipinos... regarding naman sa best med skul in cbu...

though @ times maka-affect mn jd xa sa imong self-image kung asa k gikan like kung CIM o CDU k feel nmu mas confident k ky lagi people b4 u hav establishd a name for ur skul ug pressure pd xa ky lagi taas ug xpectations ang mga tao sa imu... on d otherhand pd, if GCM o MHAM k nman feel mo ang need 2 prove urself worhy, may "hunger" factor eh - w/c could actually b a good thing! so, for as long as u know how to channel whatever those emotions, biases & ol those u have regarding ur skul into something productive, i sincerely think u'd do great! & as what others have said early on, it's a person's determination that matters a lot more than d skul u will/have graduated from!

based on experience kay kami sa aq mga classmates pag pre med ky na scattered mn jd sa different med skuls not jst hir in cebu bt in other parts of d country as well coz of our financial backgrounds, pag mag get together na mi ana whenever possible, ug magka hisgutay mn jd na regarding sa studies, magka-jive pa mn jpon mi! we use d same books... we learn d same things... degree of difficulty sa exams ra mag magkalahi at times bt still, ma answeran r mn as long as gisabot ug gi-absorb lng jd nmu imung gibasa ug kabalo k lng mugamit sa imong common sense... what we actually do is help each other out, dvah mas nice p ang life ang life pag ganun? for us kc, we believe na instead of always having to compare d quality of d different med skuls, mas maau pang magtinabangay nlng tang tnan para masaka-saka naman pud ang morale sa mga filipino med skuls globally...dvah? ü

ug word of advice lng ha.... sa ubang mga gikan sa better performing skuls dha: wag maging masyadong hilas! don't b contented living in d shadow of those who came b4 u, prove urselves 1st!... ug sa mga gipang tagaan ug another chance: 'eto n nga't binigyan n kau ng 2nd-nth chance, pagbutihan nyo naman na! wag ung tatamad-tamad pa rn! learn ur lesson & know ur priorities!... sa mga natuto na: maau! padayuna! ug most importantly, move on.... sa mga iskolar naman o ung medyo di afford ang mga mas mamahaling med skuls: go guys! success is for those who persevere! aja!

It's all a matter of personal preference.

But if we're going to base it strictly on board exam results, CIM (Cebu Institute of Medicine/Velez College) leads ahead of Cebu Doctors' University by usually a small margin. In my opinion, these two schools are the best in the Cebu.

For foreign students, they usually opt for studying in Cebu Doctors' University since the school accepts foreigners to enroll. I'm not too sure about CIM on that one.

Well, if you're really serious about your future in Medicine, you should go to CIM. Students who go to CDU are also serious about becoming a doctor, but have half the willingness to study a lot. (Translation: The super naning go to CIM, and the less naning go to CDU.)

Since I'm in medschool, I happen to know the salaries of my teachers, of which are doctors, who come to discuss lectures with us. Can a maid in HK earn PhP64,000 in 3 hours? I don't think so.

It depends really on what kind of doctor you are. Everyone starts small and penniless. No one ever starts out as a bajillionaire earning a bajillion pesos a year.

It depends on what specialty you take. And besides, there are actually doctors who are very much happy to be in good service rather than making a lot of money.

What is money for really, but earthly riches that you lose when you pass away. Life isn't about counting the amount of money you have in your bank account or spending money.

CIM ang maau dri sa cebu.. but tell your friend that if she wants to become a doctor to be rich, tell her she's in the wrong profession.. more on humanitarian ang pagkadoctor.. i have a lot of colleague na nagmahay nganu nag doctor sila and wa kaau oportunities makuha..

i heard pd from a friend na mas mahal hinuon daw ang CIM kesa CDU..hmm

---pero for now, im leaning towards CDU coz its my premed skul. naa pa btaw koi pila ka years to decide asa jd mg med. haha. ^^
