just wanna share my problem, kay I really don't know when Im going to the US to be with my wife and daughter. This is my situation...
My wife is a US immigrant since 2003, she'll be allowed to apply as a US citizen by Nov. 2008, and it will take 6 to 9 months before her application for US citizenship be approved, then my "Petition by an Immigrant" will change into "petitioned by a citizen", then it will take more months nasad para ma approved, then i could be there with them. My baby is an american citizen, she was born there.
So, my question is, basing on the dates, when can i be with them in the states? my wife cant give me a date. she just said 2010. i was like HUH!, i still need to wait 2 freaking years?
If there are Istoryans out there who could help me calculate the months or years im going to wait, then it would really somehow boost my moral, especially waiting for my wife's petition, kay im realy missing them everyday, esp every weekend, kung mag lakaw lakaw ko sa mall, ako ra usa, then i saw families together, sakit ako heart. huhuhuhuhuhu!
can some experts on immigration give me advice? please? thanks
y not try watching Citizen Pinoy with Immigrant Lawyer, Michael Gerfunkle (i hope sakto ako spelling) he!3x ur case is pretty common and has been answered by him in his discussions. he always makes a distinction as to the time frame if ur a spouse being petitioned while ur wife or husband is still an immigrant or wait for d citizenship application. he said this and always emphasized that, IT IS SHORTER TO BE PETITIONED WYL UR WIFE IS AN IMMIGRANT RATHER TO WAIT FOR HER CITIZENSHIP APPROVAL. IF SHE HAS STARTED PETITIONING U NA IMMIGRANT PA SYA, UL HAVE TO W8 MINIMUM OF 5 YRS. IF SHE IS GONNA WAIT FOR CITIZENSHIP IT WILL TAKE 7YRS MINIMUM TUNGOD ANG GINA-PROCESS KARON ARE D BACKLOG FOR DEPENDENTS SA APPLICANTS FROM 2005-2006.
search for his program and ul understand.
