have you tried replace a mobo w/out re-installing the OS??

sometimes it does work. i recommend removing all the drivers (sound,video,chipset,etc) before you transplant the hdd to it's new home. you might want to do a repair option during xp install (if the installing detects a previous installation of windows. if not then you need to reinstall). good thing about the repair, you don't lose programs, documents, games. it will only replace your windows files with the original files that came in you cd. bad thing, you lose all windows updates. then you install the drivers. ^_^

For me, it depends sa klase sa OS ninyo. If windows then OEM, kana mahasul gyud ka inig change sa imong board due to Anti-Piracy reasons which results the system unbootable. If FPP ang windows where hardware changes are allowed, I guess wala kay problem on hardware changes.

If driver issues lay storyaan, wala kay problema ana if FPP imong OS. Kay imo lang i-change imong drivers sa imong system. No need to reformat if you ask me

mga bro ok na...i replaced my asus mobo na already w/ MSI (from kabz)
but i reformat it nalang and install a new OS coz wala jud modagan am
starting to install everything from the beginning...thanks to all istoryans
