The Dala-i Lama is a spiritual leader. As such, he may be using certain specific scientific principles in his personal way of assessing things in his day-to-day musings with life. However, if he starts using those principles to teach his brand of spiritualism, then he will basically cease to become Buddhist.

You might want to investigate further sir about the contribution of Buddhist Monks to the scientific community!

Scientists recently announced that experiments suggested that Buddhists, who try to focus on achieving inner peace, really did seem to enjoy life more. Isn't that amazing?![]()
Gotcha! See? You sir, are a sensationalist. Why? You're extracting specific instances where personas with a mostly spiritual background is "aiding" (thus making the unsuspecting reader feel "humbled") science, thereby achieving the effect upon the reader that spirituality has MEANING and IMPORTANCE in scientific circles, when, you forget that monks are merely human beings, who are also capable of utilizing tools such as the scientific method to aid in whatever pursuits they have. While you feel triumphant at this, from my point of view, it doesn't really mean anything significant--of course they can do it, monks are human beings, and human beings, by default are rational entities, capable of a lot of things if equipped with tools necessary for their self-preservation and self-improvement.
Now if say, a news item declaring that a certain dog from Istanbul achieved inner peace, and thus seemed to enjoy life more, then get back to me.

I respect your POV and it doesn't invalidate one's subjective experience into the unknown that this universe is intelligent - that Consciousness is the ground of all being," the root cause of all manifestation. Manifestation (coming into being) provides consciousness with ways to experience itself.
All beings are informed (embodied) consciousness.
I find that very profound upon reflecting the great mysteries of life.![]()
The reason why we don't (and can't) agree on things, is it's obvious that you seek happiness, and you believe that this happiness can only be achieved once your craving for some sort of singular "answer" to all your questions is found--and you seem to have found it indeed, in all your mysticism.
I have no need for such answers, because I don't have such cravings. I, on the other hand, am content to merely sweep the floor of garbage, because it smells bad (illogical/irrational thought), and it can spread diseases (bad ideas).
If you want followers to your crusade, so be it--just make sure you don't litter the floor or I'll be there to sweep and mop the junk away.

How do you explain Energy that it can never be created nor be destroyed. Can you create and destroy the essence of things? What makes you as you? What makes atom as atom? Where does energy come from and where does it go ultimately? These questions cannot be answered by traditional or material science alone.![]()
