just like bro. jose rizal, he requested not to be shot at his back because that would mean his a traitor to his country w/c he never was; but the church asked him to recant his being a mason for his plea to be granted, but rizal was unwilling to cooperate w/ the bargaining; so he was shot from at his back though if you notice in the picture of his firing he partialy face the shooters, his attempt to make a statement that he was not a traitor to his country, the villain actually were the holy church who killed him
