    i beg to differ.
this is a country held by theistic beliefs...to come out as a pinoy atheist is HARD. society can be judgmental regarding such issues. lets face it, the difference between a fundie and a hilaw na faithful is slim.

being an atheist doesnt make you cool, nor will get you laid, etc...since when pa man na uso ang pag ka atheist.

oh.. are you saying that in your toddler years you dont have the chance also to choose what brand of milk do you like? what kind diapers do you like? what kind of vitamins do you like? generic or not? was it unfair to you what your parents did to make you grow healthy?

and one thing, back then you poop so much! and you dont have any single choice other than your mother wiping your sheeeet.

I look at religion more of a social utility. Having said that, religion is not at all really that bad. In fact, religion has contributed a large part in shaping a society's definition of order and public morals as well as provided the framework to govern the behavior of its constituencies.

Religion becomes a problem when people begin to compare and impose their morals/belief to others or use it to exploit people which by the way, is the root of it all that has bogged many a great nation since the dawn of civilization. To me Marx was so right that it (religion) is an "opiate of the society."

Religion is so out of control that people would go as far as risking their sanity and very existence in defense of their "god." The irony of it all is that why this good god never bothered to appear in the midst of a bloody war to at least even say "knock it off guys." Is god really worth dying for?

Maybe atheism is more worth living for after all.
