I agree that they can give honorary degrees to deserving people. And Pacman is world class in BOXING. A Human Kinetics degree is appropriate for Pacman. CHED should just revise their rules rather than confer a PhD in Humanities? That is HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE. If you have attended a Humanities class in college, you study LITERATURE and read lots of books, etc. You think Pacman is good at that? Maayo pa change rules of CHED and maghuwat ang SWU nga ma change ang rules, kaysa sa pugson gyud... Si Prof. Pacman motudlo unya ug Shakespeare ha... kadakong binuang gyud. Maypa Dentistry na lang gihatag nga degree sa SWU kay sikat2 man sila ana. Pa-ibot unya ta ug ngipon ni Pacman, wa nay pliers kinahanglan!

I see it both ways. It could be a marketing campaign for SWU but the important thing is that, SWU and the Pacman are letting the people realized that through hardwork one can get an award, and its not an ordinary award for the world's pound for pound champ. This should motivate more people to do well in anything they do, not just on their expertise, rather that throwing negative criticisms. It would be better hearing conctructive criticisms, but there's none most of the time.

a doctor, i believe, is a holder of a PhD degree, dili lang nang naa sa hospital nga moresita ug moayo ug mga pasyente. a doctor is the highest degree/level given to one in a specific field. number 1 si Pacquiao as the p-2-p boxer sa kalibutan ug ang mga bangiitan iyang giapngpildi. di pa siya deserving mahimong doctor? he's the best in his field as of the moment and maski moretire pa na siya, layo kaayo iyang naabtan. that alone is enough. naa na siya sa level ni Michael Jordan in terms sa iyang field. he's more than deserving.
