I see that you would really turn down a simple request of your child. How sad! He could have died praying with you. You don't have to call a priest just to do this simple request. If I were the atheist, I would fulfill the last wish of the child esp. if that was my kid. Simple? Not really. It takes courage and humility to admit that you are powerless of your choice!

Lady, you generalize too much. Try to live a peaceful 'atheist's' life without judging every Catholic or believer that you see. Ayaw'g suon anang ubang atheist nga wa nay laing buhat kung dili sige'g pakig lalis sa mga believers. Looking for more proof that God doesn't exist is like looking for proof that God exists. So unsa man ka, atheist ka or confused? There's nothing wrong either way, but there's a lot wrong with generalizing people.

And yes it's so sad to know that there's one person who will deny a child's wish. And for what? To stay 'true' to his/her being 'atheist.'
