i just listened to their song called deliverance and read about them in wikipedia. i learned that Mikael Ã…kerfeldt, the band's vocalist, sings in both clean voice and death vocals (growling kind of singing) which i think is cool. the song deliverance is 13:36 long, like most of their songs which are lenghty (10 minutes or more).

i can't say i like it but i think i'll require a couple more listens. their type of rock is something i still need to educate myself.

oh yeah. opeth. sweden's progdeath standard bearer. i absolutely love this band. i always luv the two sides of Mikael Ã…kerfeldt's voice. long gone is the art of painting music, and i think im blessed i got to know and listen to opeth coz that's what they do. Demon of the Fall and Baying of the Hounds never escape my playlist. haha...

Opeth is good, I liked their earlier works, but the later ones sound boring and emo-ish. It's like *whine*whine*whine* and acoustic guitars. Sorry Opeth, you're off my list.

unfortunately Martin Lopez their drummer is out of the band due to health reasons.. plus naa siya stage fright.. my God sa iya kamaayo naa pa siya stage fright.

and Peter Lindgreen also left.. mao ni nakapait basta mosikat ang uban ma pressure og maayo.. like what happen to Red Hot's John Fruciante, pag boom sa Chili Peppers...

I don't see the point of playing in a band and going just one way when you can do everything. It would be impossible for us to play just death metal; that is our roots, but we are now a mishmash of everything, and not purists to any form of music. It's impossible for us to do that, and quite frankly I would think of it as boring to be in a band that plays just metal music. We're not afraid to experiment, or to be caught with our pants down, so to speak. That's what keeps us going.[49]
