he's works are mostly in surrealism mao maka ingon ka strange...

he belongs to a certain art style called "surrealism" and its nothin new to me, for me his art is unique and to appreaciate this kind of stuff you have to closely analyse the concept of dreams and psycho-automatism, some of his earlier works were wild and embrace some Freudian ideas.

ahhh.. a time when cigarette infomercials were still bombarding the airwaves. but you're damn right. he's one gifted weirdo.

btw, anyone familiar with his collaboration with luis buñuel kato un chien andalou(an andalusian dog) nga short film? its notably famous for that eye-slicing scene and for jumpstarting the "music video" concept.

i remember daghan nag paint ani nga movement back in art school - mga Dali-ists. i have my door painted his "St. John of the Cross". Brilliant guy.

"Metamorphosis of Narcissus"


Not as famous as "Persistence of Memory", but I first saw this when I was in my 2nd year of High School, and at the time, I was into oil and canvas, and it left a lasting impression on me.

I think I'm more into Dada than Surrealism, and more of a Marcel Duchamp fan than a Dali affecionado. Duchamp did eventually become a surrealist, but his style was more focused on expression rather than subject/form.
