I just benched the PC im building today with just the motherboard/sound/lan drivers present and im getting 21 seconds on a Western digital 1TB - Black edition, so that 26secs of yours is pretty fast
nah, this was my fourth attempt. it took me three big startup items just to shed 10-12 seconds. i had to manually start my icon dock, sidebar, and firefox (lazy, i like my igoogle on display dretso). still, that's with about 15 startup items and all the eyecandy.

    it's not working for me.
I'm using the 64-bit Vista Ultimate.

but you can use the built-in Event Viewer in Windows Vista to see your boot time.
go to Control Panel/Performance Information and Tools/Advanced Tools
then click on the View performance details in Event log.

Even if its a selected start up to make it appear faster 26seconds if pretty fast, faster than a freshly installed vista with mobo drivers only on a 1TB WD black..

How much imong boot time w/o disabling all your start up items... kanag mao jud imong gamit not tweak for the sake of the benchmark.
