have you downloaded the suse version of wine already? .... if you have problem with why not use yast instead.

i already installed it w/ yast coz its ususaly the default in installing software but when u invoke the command say "wine program" the remarks on the terminal say"unable to find c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 . . . .thus this mean na u have to install 2 OS windows and linux same HDD w/ diff partition before u can run wine on it?

no you have to configure your wine first ... hmmmm i think wineconfig ang command ...ingon ani nalang ...type wine and press tab key ...it will display all commands starting with wine keyword

mao n comment sa terminal after i invoke "wine program"

kon tan awon nako sa root / na man ang directory sa wine naka install man cya pero di ko maka edit sa "config"

i have a little background of linux....basic ra gyod kaayo...i dont know how to configure wine but i only used CrossOverOffice to run some windows applications in linux environment.

much better if we have chat room so that we can communicate/forum...sharing ideas.
right now i was not able to run my wireless NEC (in Mandrake 10) in my network...naglabad akong ulo kay inig install nako sa driver sa wireless NEC (im using ndiswrapper,madwifi) mo ingon dayon "the source kernel not found.....wala daw sa path"

back to windows akong configuration karon sa network....but im planning to test again Mandrake kong duna nakoy time to explore.

crossoveroffice is ok but its not free ... thats the diff ...
@ knights ... hmmm ... never encounter any of that problem bai! ... remove the wine daw bai and reinstall it then do the wineconfig again...

do you have a .wine(or something) folder in you home directory?(/home/<username> or /root)

try using chmod for that persmission related problem u got there
