Murder victim’s friend charged in court
CEBU CITY, Philippines – The murder case against Jonnelle Enfectana for allegedly killing her friend and co-worker Lynn Vi Ebarita has been elevated to the court.
Mandaue City Assistant Prosecutor Bienvenido Mabanto Jr. said there was “probable cause” to charge the 26-year-old call center agent with murder “in conspiracy with other person or persons whose identity are still to be ascertained.”
“The evidence... may be circumstantial... (but) this investigator is of the finding and opinion that this web of circumstantial evidence, if taken together, would result to an undeniable conclusion that respondent, Jonnelle Enfectana, is probably guilty for the crime of murder...,” Mabanto said in his resolution.
With the case filed in court, Enfectana was transferred from her detention cell at the Mandaue City Police Office’s station 2 to the Mandaue City Jail.
Mabanto said he gave weight to the statement of witnesses who saw Ebarita, Enfectana and a certain Evelyn hours before the murder.
The three were seen together after the Sinulog grand parade in Cebu City and later at the Nikkei Garden Hotel in Barangay (village) Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
The prosecutor also said that Enfectana’s statements to police were often contradictory.
Also, Mabanto noted that Ebarita’s wallet was later found in a boarding house where Enfectana stays.
But Enfectana's lawyer, Michael Enriquez, insisted that there was no direct evidence that linked his client to the murder of Ebarita, also a call center agent. /With a report by Correspondent Chris A. Ligan

if this thing ONLY happens in a call center, then you can rightfully say that the morals of call center employees have gone down the drain.
if you can only talk about "a friend of a friend" or "my friend" or even "my fictitious friend" who worked/works in a call center heard this, heard that, saw this, saw that... blah blah blah... i suggest that you should be mindful of what you say. facts are different from hearsay.
yes, stuff like these can and has happened in a call center. rumors about it are just so easily spread because employees have T1 connection round the clock, some hop from one call center to another, go to parties where actual people are present, they can afford to go out and meet up with friends regularly, thus carrying news through the fiber/wire, by word of mouth and all sorts of means. mao na'ng mas sikat ang mga mahitabo sa office.
but this is not totally unheard of in other companies, industries, schools or even between a group of friends. you can't stereotype people without considering the ratio between the number of employees and the frequency of such cases.
IMHO
bsag kinsa, bsag aha pwd ni mahitabo... its not about what kind of work you have, the nature of it or whatever... things just happen... it doesnt mean CCA ka, hala, liberated xa.. hala murderer xa... no its not... and it doesnt even mean na mao ra na imo trabaho, low class xa, wa xa kahuman, or boginz xa.. u cant judge the person by its cover..char! basta mao na xa.. yaw sad mo ingon ana wui, bad nah...
i want this case solve for God sake!! T.T ...
hayahaya diay ning mga taga kol center oi. daghan sapi dem sige pa ug groups*x. hehehe mangapply nya ko para kasuway sad ko ani.
i worked at a call center 6 years ago and this is what i can say..
in a call center:
1.) you are free to be who you are <<< dsnt matter if you're the loud & rowdy type or the silent but deadly type or the moderate ordinary pa cute type of person as long as you have:
a)good english b)good computer skills c)intelligence to go with your skills
2)those who recruit you won't dig about your personal s3x affairs <<< they dont give a dam how, why, where, when, who & how many you have s3x with.
3)undergrads, or grads are free to apply. <<< majority of the population so therefore, more people have the money, the desire to do the things they want to do. With the money, undergrads can now buy themselves new cellphones, psp, playstation 3... or condoms.. or do something like... rent a room? heck! some poeple even think getting a bachelor's degree isn't desirable anymore since they can buy what they want at this instant!
BUT the bottom line is... whoever was responsible for the murder of pretty lynn, she or he or they or IT has emotional and psychological problems.
i just want to share my point of view among our young generations here.
1. Lynnvi's murder case may or may not be directly or indirectly link to how call center life is presumed from the outside. The fact remains the person was murdered and needs justice.
2. Is the argument of call center life style correct or not - circumstances would show us there can be truth to it, BUT, not all engages in such practice. I am not connected to the industry but I believe there are people who work for a living nor more no less.
3. At the end of the day, it is the person's own decision what to believe and choice. We just need to understand that the call center and BPO industry will be here to stay - be a victim or be a victor, its a choice.
General statements would really heart especially those who come clean. The fact remains, the environment in the call center and bpo industry is challenging. Most of you are young, the pay is good compared to a day time job but you have to filter the good and the bad.
REALITY CHECK...
who were involved in the murder? who was the victim? di ba mga call center agents?
what did the investigators theorize? di ba group ***? di ba vengeance over a spilled extra marital affair? who were involved? di ba mga call center agents?
when was the first time we heard news like these (group ***)? di ba aning hitaboa rn?
so meaning, we cannot blame "some" people to think "unsa namay nahitabo aning mga call centers oi. unsa man diay lifestyle ani nla rn, liberated & Americanized?"
meaning, we cannot blame people to jump to reacting (rational, irrational, stupid, intellectual, etc). we cannot blame them to speculate. we cannot blame parents to worry.
we cannot also blame some call center agents to react as a human being (defense mechanism, shame, indignant, etc) to general statements, be it perceived as generalizations or real.
coz lain2x ug utok ang tawo...
what I suggest to any management is to have some sort of formal *** education to their workers, be it by some kinda seminar. Not only for call centers but to all industries as well.
As single adults, nobody should say that private group *** or premarital *** is immoral (well, except the Church). Coz in a State, nobody has the moral authority to say that is right or wrong. Morality always depend on the individual. If u r a feminist or a liberal, that is your right and power as a woman to express oneself. If u r a devout Christian following the Church's moral authority, that is a sin.
But on a legal sense, it's not illegal (unless u r married)...
now back to the murder case, bsan call center agents are involved or not, murder will always be a crime...

giddy, so there for mo conclude ka na call center agents ang gahimo anang group2x.. it makes people think nga ingon ana diay ang life sa isa ka CCA kay ning gawas man ang bajo anang group2x tungod sa panghitabo... then what if dili CCA ang napatay, what if nursing student, mo ingon nsad nga ingon ana diay mga nursing student, mag group s3x?... halaka... blah..blah... duh! maski GRO gahimo ana noh! di lang kay CCA... and its not the nature of work, its how you see life is.. life style sa isa ka tao, iyang type of life.. iyang pagka tao.. kung trip niya mag group2x, duh its their choice, kung type niya mag solo, mao na.. shy xa.. get it? its a matter of choice by the person, disregarding the persons work..
