I checked on the web the average price of gasoline sa US it is about $1.8(source) per gallon, how lets do the conversion game. Assuming the peso is at 48 pesos to a dollar, that means 86.4 pesos per gallon. Now 1 gallon is 3.78 L. That means the average price of gasoline in the US is 22.86 pesos per liter when converted.

There could be other factors that would bring our prices up like we dont have any domestic sources for oil, taxes and etc. Comparing to Shell's prices, its about 12 pesos higher (54 % more expensive compared to the US).

Maybe if we factor in the GREED of these companies/people.. then we can say that the price we have now is just about right.

It cost them 50$ to produce 1 barrel of oil. That is why the price of gasoline and crude should compensate them. Otherwise, they would shutdown all the oil refinery and oil wells.
