    hmm... eagle speaking up...

graduated already waaay back, and i'm certainly aware of the corruption. we had this one classmate who was pretty much an all-out kleptomaniac, but we couldn't do much about it coz his aunt was one of the higher ups in the system... sucks, really

also, some teachers favor students whose families have 'status'. doesn't matter how smart you are, if you don't have 'status', you're not smart enough... ugh

on the brighter side, the are people worth praising... people who actually build character and morale. it's not a perfect system, but it works.

fags, nerdies, toughies - who cares? we got along fine. we respected each other.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

recently, it's been quite different, but still the same. i still have a brother studying there - and the corruption is worse. the students actually have respect for the teachers and themselves. they think that because they're in this school, they can get away with what they want. screw them, they won't go far int the future, and i'd really like to see what they do when they're born into the harsh reality of college life.
kalami jud ingnug ug, "hilasa gud ninyu!"

thankfully, there are still people who keep up the spirit of magis... but they're dwindling, and fast.

the best thing i got out of shs was not my grades or the prestige (blah blah) but my experience--both the good and the not-so-good. at least shs taught me how to think for myself. i have the school to thank for that.

    my humble opinion,

    ^^

well said!..(applause!) also, not only for oneself but for others as well..AMDG!

hm....ingun ana man gyud nuon atong school nga kun naay status ang family maayo kaayo ug treatment kay kinahanglan man ug kwarta. That's one of the reasons why the Jesuits are one of the richest non-profit organizations hahahaha

Sa tinuod lang gyud daghan gyud bitaw nga mga bayot nga students....hm I think the remedy would be to introduce them to girls at a younger age para ma-attracted dayon.

    O/T: Toughies and FAGs-

During our time, there are 3 types of students. The toughies, Nerds and the FAG's. Back then there are more toughies than FAGs. Nerds are normal people who don't act their age and who lacks motivation to be wild. ( younger years = wildest years ) I remember our group harassing FAG's to act normal.(like nerds)

Now, FAG's roam our new campus with a quota to recruit more. FAG's now outnumber toughies and Nerds.
As one student said:'When you drop a coin, kick it out till you reach Talamban. Else, you get screwed.'

What has happened to our Glory days? Being an Eagle. I guess, the eagle learned to follow its educators and became courrupt too - in a system that molded us for 12 years.

And some eagles became doves. ahahay![/QUOTE]

i think the problem is more of sexual deviance than anything else. coz if they suddenly hump you indiscriminately then i bet it's more than just raging hormones. if these kids do actually do this then they're worse than the criminals in muntinlupa. at least in munti they warn you ahead (so showertime is not that much fun there from what i've heard). but i have my doubts of these things really happening.

but wtf? where do kids get their ideas these days? i bet they watch too much prison break.

From school environment. Kids tend to follow what they see and hear and bring it along as they grow old.

    Its called unconscious learning.

hm...so true....kids just follow what's put in front of them pretty much. Kids nowadays have access to TV PC games, internet.....as a parent I think the best way is just to set an example.
