    INDIVIDUAL EQUIPMENT (Basic)
    1. Backpack. 50-liters capacity or more of storage space.
    2. Hiking shoes. Ankle-high much better for newbies.
    3. Sleeping bag. Imported ones are much lighter and stowable.
    4. Cook set.
If you have all these then you're set to go.

    GROUP EQUIPMENT
    1. Tent. You could borrow a tent or share space with another.
    2. Stove. If you could afford a multi-fuel burner, fine. If not, ask for a share of cooking fire.

mo lahi kog gamay ni pinoyapache ha.

ang size/capacity sa pack mag depend sa imong i-sud. kun mag packlight ka (nga mao nay uso ron) gamay na lang. pero in that case mo invest kag mejo mahal nga equipment.

Sleeping bag: personally i never used 1. but i guess it adds much comfort if you do. naay sandugo nga wa kaabot 1k ok na baya ang size. pero di ko maka comment sa quality kay di man ko mo gamit.

Ako ni. Bisan associated na sila ani, I don't care. I don't need discounts from their store unlike my club co-members. Basta hinaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy gyud kaayo!

I am an old-school hiker. I carry a big pack. I could recommend only based on what load I carry. Ok man ang light backpacking, amo na man gyud na ang uso karon, but sad to say, you could not compensate your food for the weight of your equipment especially in exploration climbs and multi-day treks.

Hinay-hinay lang sa. Huwam-huwam lang sa. Ing-ana man ko sa una. Then avail of swap deals kun pwede and, kun kugihan ka, paniksik sa mga ukay-ukay like @edshark and most of the others are doing. Ayaw lang bigla-a ang imo kaugalingon. Basta unaha lang ang basic personal gears then, kon maka-afford ka, ang group equipment dayon.
