Power On Self Test starts the moment you press the power button and ends when you hear the beep. (correct me if I'm wrong kung asa mo end pero it starts when the power button is pressed.)

yep..this explains it. same thing happens to my P35 if i overclock..although naay option sa bios na i-turn off ni na feature..this was supposedly a 'safety' feature

I have this thing long time ago. And have researched about it a bit and it seems to be normal.
First on is the stock settings, the second on is the Overclocked settings. Somehow this is the work around for the manufacturers to overclock Intel mobos.

From what I know POST starts only AFTER the bootstrap is initialized double boot occurs BEFORE the bootstrap is initialized, Basically the part where you see the VGA name/vram size thats where the POST starts and ends after the drives are detected, but i could be wrong.

    @ The rest
This is a normal chipset "characteristic" and nothing to be worried about.. sometimes mo triple boot gali after a very long total power disconnection.

As per Wikipedia (ambot kasaligan pa ba):

The BIOS will begin its POST duties when the CPU is reset. The first memory location the CPU tries to execute is known as the reset vector. In the case of a hard reboot, the northbridge will direct this code fetch (request) to the BIOS located on the system flash memory. For a warm boot, the BIOS will be located in the proper place in RAM and the northbridge will direct the reset vector call to the RAM.
This is basically how i understand it:
    - when the power button is pressed, processor checks if it is receiving clean and enough power.
    - processor checks if memory is available (hence the beep if memory is removed).
    - processor initializes the graphics card (the part where you see the VGA BIOS displayed)
    - it then beeps indicating that system is okay (as far as the cpu-northbridge-memory is concerned)

The second part is the soundbridge chipset:
    - BIOS is loaded.
    - processor through BIOS checks peripherals (halts on keyboard error if set)
    - processor through BIOS checks bootable media (this is the part where your MBR on hard drive comes in)
    - and the process of handling control of computer from BIOS to operating system goes on.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

    ***EDIT**

Naa raman sad diay sa wikipedia ang process:

    • verify the integrity of the BIOS code itself
    • find, size, and verify system main memory
    • discover, initialize, and catalog all system buses and devices
    • pass control to other specialized BIOSes (if and when required)
    • provide a user interface for system's configuration
    • identify, organize, and select which devices are available for booting
    • construct whatever system environment that is required by the target OS
