@beor, i read online some news that xperia might be the last se winmobile phone. just some buzz though. so i guess that might leave it a bad taste as it would mean less firmware updates after sales.
i've gone from palmos (3 phones), wm5/6 (4 phones), jailbroken osx (iphone). also configured several s60 phones in between (not mine),and just recently switched to s60 r3 on the e71.
despite me not being a nokia fan, im surprised as to how good the new s60 performs. the number of useful 3rd party apps available is just about the same as the other platforms.
>>e71 s60r3 vs winmo std/pro= just about the same but the s60 is faster; you get multitasking, lotsa apps; new form factor is definitely sleeker for the nokia but you don't get the "exclusivity" of ownership with the nokia. just too many out there i guess. hehe
>>e71 s60r3 vs iphone = i love the iphone's browser because of the touch interface, email client is straightforward and opens html directly. but nokia's still working on some updates that hopefully addresses these. i don't get to replace my auto dyno software on the iphone because the e71 doesn't have an accelerometer but nevertheless im happy with my new toy
