    sweet diay ang mga frogs they sleep together in one crevice. hehe. sosyal pa jud because they eat dog food! well if they eat anything, that makes them a good pet cause they're low maintenance.

    are there pet shops that sell frogs? or are there people selling frogs? yeah, lame question i know, but i thought you just like pick it up from somewhere and taran! you got a pet.

    so female toads are generally bigger than male. now i guess that explains what i saw back in college. i was on my way to the dorm when i found a small toad on top of a bigger one. it's not everyday that i get to see frogs mating at the side of the road so out of curiosity i took some time to inspect the two. haha. i didn't spoil their "moment" together, i went on my way and left them in peace.

    Question Just curious...

If you try to have a closer look you'll see that this toad has a darkened first digit (pollux) and might even be enlarged...a simple indicator that this right here is a male and at this point in time, it is calling for a mate. This is quite easy to keep as well and they also make good pets as they relatively eat almost anything you offer. They even eat dogfood. One problem though is that they breed profusely. A female would be a very good pet specimen as they really grow big. I used to have two of those large toads namely Buffy and marina......no joke...i did name them those
    Just curious, what's the difference between a frog and a toad?

    what you saw was a pre amplexus ritual, hehehe, well yeah the male hops onto the female and gets a free s** and free ride, hehe. Anyway, some petshops do sell frogs, i saw before sa whitegold, they were selling common and albino clawed frogs. if you're really interested, the common toad would be a nice start, just choose the biggest one you see para there's something unique about your pet and not just any ordinary toad. hehehe

    @janmarco
    Frogs have smooth and most of the time slimy skin and their hip bone protrudes clearly from the back, the Toad on the other hand has a lot of tubercles and wart-like structures growing on their back, they also have hardened temporal skin. Most frogs stay in water pools, most toads venture out in the open
    even on dry areas. but as again there are some exceptions.

    So can we say that our cebuano / visayan term "Baki" classifies both the frog & the toad? As what we usually call these creatures.

    The term baki, pakra, or whatsoever name we have for anurans in general is indeterminate of the type of anuran may it be Frog or Toad.
