    lets talk Polygamy...

    Islam espouses limited polygamy

Limited because muslims are only allowed to marry up to 4 wives.

The rationale behind this is the growing numbers of women over men. The ratio now i believe is 1 is to 12,correct me if im wrong.

Who would take care of the 11? women need to be love and deserve to be taken cared for right? hehe.

maybe out of the 11 some are gays, some love to be alone, some would go and live in convents, so a decent number will be left unmarried,Polygamy comes in...to save the day, hehe.

But a man has to be sure that he can treat his wives fairly and that he can provide all the needs of his wives and the children that will be born from them.

Hey please think before you post or else you are just exposing your ignorance about islam. It's not culture sir but they based polygamy in koran. Here is the verse for your information:

The Quran in Sura 4:3 says:
And if you be apprehensive that you will not be able to do justice to the orphans, you may marry two or three or four women whom you choose. But if you apprehend that you might not be able to do justice to them, then marry only one wife, or marry those who have fallen in your possession. (Maududi, The Meaning of the Qur’an, vol. 1, p. 305)

    Now you know!

    ah...

i dont know, my intention is only to inform the readers on some of islam's teachings.

Good. But the flaw for us there is we miss the vital objective. As people who know better with Islam's teachings, our aim should not just be to inform but also to propagate openmindness and respect. This is the essence of this discussion.
