Hey guys! I just discovered this thread and I'm really really really interested. I've always been interested in astronomy but never found the time to pursue this interest. Unya na-busy pud ko sa school. I've been casually star gazing here sa Busay. Naa mi spot before sa akong barkada nga dark and perfect for looking at the stars. Dugay-dugay na pud ko wala ka star gaze kay naa naman ga-live didto sa among spot.

Anyway, intro ra diay to. Hehehe. If mag-meet gani balik bah, please nya ug post sa details. It would be nice to meet people who have more knowledge on this subject. Grabe. Interesado just kaayo ko. Hope mabalik ni.

And hope mahuman na ning bad weather. Hehehehe....

DM, when will you be back sa Pinas? Nawala naman gud ang uban diri, dili na sila tig-post.

Anyways, whether ma-form jud ang group or not, I'll still continue with my Dobsonian reflector project sometime April/May. In case people forgot, 2009 is the International Year of Astronomy, so I promised myself I'd do something significant this year.

I didn't know about the international year of astronomy.... I guess this is the perfect time to finally get off my back and really learn more about the stars and other heavenly bodies, huh? Thanks for the info!

@rodsky: i'm already back here in cebu last december, been waiting for the skies to clear up lang gyud, its been mostly cloudy since i got back. anyway, if we got the chance and if the skies will clear up maybe we can try to do some stargazing. we'll try to use my 5" reflector telescope, wala pa gyud nako magamit since i arrived, hehehe! Maybe we can discuss about the IYA 2009 also, i don't think people in cebu, aside from us, even know it. Hopefully we can pursue our previous plans also, i will be staying here until May so i will have enough time to help with the group.

@stargirl: maybe you can show us this place you know in busay.

That's great bro. Yes let's schedule a star party, as soon as skies over Cebu start to clear up--usually, Feb-April is a favorable time. And yes, would be nice to check out that place in Busay.

Actually, that place is in our neighborhood. Sa Plaza Housing bitaw. If kibaw mo asa na. Dili na ta ka-adto kay naa nay ga-live/squat didto. But I'm sure daghan places sa Busay to star gaze.

If madayon ang star party, inform me! Tabang ko organize. Hehehehe....
