wow, the pics are really nice, what did you use for them bro? it's a bit scary noh? makes you feel very small.

Thanks for the comment. If you are afraid of heights (which I am), perching on the very edge for the photo ops can be unnerving. Indeed, one feels philosphically and physically small within the context of the Grand Canyon---this is a natural formation that according to scientific evidence, took 20 million years for the Colorado river to carve out the canyon as we know it. There are certain lookout points that allow you catch a glimpse of the Colorado river that snakes its way through the bottom of the canyon. If the other question refers to what I used to take the pics---I used a stock 4MP Canon Powershot A80 set on auto.

p.s. Larvs, I noticed u are from Minglanilla. Spent parts of my childhood in that area. Thanks.

@BayouPinoy: yeah, from minglanilla since 1st year college (23 yrs old now) a 4mp cam? wow! the shots are great, your pics are a good reason to buy one, looks like pics from nat'l geographic.

We were told to take pictures either early in the morning or late afternoon, as the angle of the sun around noon might "wash out" the shadows and highlights. I also had to resize the pictures to meet size requirements, losing some detail in the process. However, one can't go wrong with taking pictures at Grand Canyon, methinks---it is a wonderful subject, begging to be documented and photographed.

OT: This is a two-year old camera that has seen its share of drops and dust; even though newer and better cameras are available (and relatively cheap), I will probably hold on to it until it breaks down. Minglanilla: once lived in Tunghaan, moved to Lipata, before moving elsewhere. Once, our idea of a Sunday outing was Tungkop, and that was all the beach and sea I knew until I learned that the Earth was round

Grabe gyud kaayo kanindot sa Arizona area, ninglabay ra man mi sa Grand Canyon entrance way kay gabii na kaayo gikan man mi sa BRYCE CANYON, nindot sad kaayo didto, duol ra sad siya sa Grand Canyon. Wala na mi nakahapit sa Grand Canyon kay paubos na amo gas, desert gyud kaayo ang dating didto, wala man sad mi sure if naa hotel didto para maka-diskanso mi for the night. Grabe gyud kaayo didtong dapita, manlimbawot imo balhibo while driving coz all you see are ganyan (katulad sa pictures above) big big almost orange color rocks, iba-iba pa ang formation. Gusto mi bisita sa Grand Canyon mismo one of these days.
