    Reincarnation and the early Christians

n December, 1945, early Christian writings containing many secrets of the early Christian religion were found in upper Egypt, a location where many Christians fled during the Roman invasion of Jerusalem. Undisturbed since their concealment almost two thousand years ago, these manuscripts of Christian mysticism rank in importance with the Dead Sea Scrolls. These writings affirmed the existence of the doctrine of reincarnation being taught among the early Jews and Christians. These Christian mystics, referred to as Christian Gnostics, were ultimately destroyed by the orthodox Church for being heretics. Their sacred writings were destroyed and hidden with the belief that they would be revealed at an appropriate time in the future. The discovery in 1945 yielded writings that included some long lost gospels, some of which were written earlier than the known gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Brian A. Bain, M.A., has this to say about the 1945 discovery:

"Long considered to be heretical, ancient Gnostic Christian texts unearthed this century display compelling similarities between Gnostic conceptions of life and death and modern near-death experiences. The Gnostic texts devoted extensive tracts to what readers could expect to encounter when they died. Other passages make numerous allusions to near-death-like experiences that can be realized in this life, most notably the human encounter with a divine light. The Gnostic Christian literature gives us one more example of NDEs and similar experiences in the ancient world."
Another interesting fact comes from Edgar Cayce (a near-death experiencer) who affirmed that Gnosticism is the highest form of Christianity.

The Christian Gnostics were regarded by some as a new Jewish sect who believed they had finally found the long-awaited Messiah and not a new religion. Some of the apostles became Gnostic and because of this, Christianity could well have grown up as a Gnostic religion had it not been for their eventual persecution by the organized Church centuries later.
by showing this article, does that mean that you can't really show us any apostolical or evangelical writings that can support the teachings of Origen? I'm sorry to say this but I cannot accept that because the Apostle Paul said:

Gal 1:8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel that is different from the one we preached to you, may he be condemned to hell!

if you can't show me any supporting verses, then I have to condemn Origen's doctrine. I'd rather believe on what St. Paul said on Gal 1:8 than to your so-called early christian father.

    english na jud na ha...hahahahaha!

I pity you because you have a limited understanding. You don't even know that Jesus has a Secret Teaching. Your bible is incomplete and don't even match with the lost books that were found in Egypt. They were much earlier than the four gospels. I thought you are a BIBLE SCHOLAR but I'm sorry to say you are a fake one! That verse that you have cited is applicable to your CULT and FALSE CHURCH!

don't be mad my brother...all I want from you is to give us some biblical verses that will support Origen's doctrines. is it very difficult for you to post even a single verse?

    hmmmm...

sir pien according to this concept of rebirth, reincarnation is necessary to be able to attain perfection to whatever degree,,. although as what you said god will determine the quality of perfection and i guess it can be arranged as long as god will not be offended(i hope my understanding of the verses is correct).so in other words reincarnation is not necessary..what if pien i believe god and follow his will according to the holy book but it so happen that im a budhist or a hindu, will i still be qualified for perfection? or be saved perhaps?

Am I mad at you Mr. BIBLE SCHOLAR? Don't you see my smile ? I have already cited before you the biblical verses regarding reincarnation but you were not able to comprehend it because you have a limited understanding. I thought you are a BIBLE SCHOLAR! Do You still remember I told you that the game is over because you had not cited any biblical verses or evidence to refute reincarnation? Even one verse mr. bIBLE SCHOLAR you were not able to cite. I had cited lots of evidences from SCIENCE, BIBLE and HISTORICAL FACTS but you didn't cite any evidence at all. How could that be?

My solid evidences to back up reincarnation

    1. The Scientific Proof of Reincarnation done by Dr. Stevenson and other worldwide research centers - You were not able to refute the 3000 documented cases. were you?

    2. BIBLICAL verses from the BIBLE - you had not cited any verse from the bible to refute the meaning of reincarnation!

    3. HISTORICAL FACTs - you were not able to present any document to refute the teachings of Origen and others and the early christians who were the GNOSTICS.

My Solid Conclusion from this argument: THE BIBLE SCHOLAR WAS NOT ABLE TO DISPROVE REINCARNATION OR PREEXISTENCE!!! BETTER LUCK NExT TIME! THE GAME IS OVER!
