Yes. A majority of people will not perceive the size difference, simply because the change is actually imperceptible, except if you're into amateur astronomy, and you have a basic idea of what the "regular" moon size looks like on your instrument, or have actually etched "size markers" on a filter etc. Heck, most people don't even know that the moon is ALWAYS visible every day (they just don't know what time to check for it, or don't know where to look, or dozing (i.e. if it's between 2am-7am).

Another thing most people don't realize is that the moon is actually very very small in the sky--the bigness is an illusion--do this test. Cover the moon with your little finger (yes the smallest finger on your hand). You will easily cover it, because your little finger subtends about 1 degree of sky. The moon only subtends 1/2 a degree! Now lookl at your little finger and see how small it is...you'd be surprised nga mas gamay pa intawon ang moon kaysa little finger nimo.

    ?

Hayag man dyud ang langit pag full moon.

Again, to everyone out there who thinks they're looking at something majestic/wonderful. There is a psychological effect sa news about the "bigger" full moon, than most people think. Heck, you people can actually distinguish a 14% increase in size in an object subtending 0.5 degrees of about 120 degrees of visible sky? Wow, if ing ana, mas maayo pa inyong mga mata sa agila intawon.

Perhaps the biggest reason why it seems big to most of you is because during times when the moon is not at Perigee, you take it for granted. Simple as that. Nagkataon lang kasi na nasa news siya, and people are talking about it, hence you "believe" you're seeing a bigger moon. Yes, it's bigger, but you need the proper instruments to detect the change--my final point--if wala ni gibalita sa radio/newspaper, you people will not even check the moon! O, diba?
