Hiyee, Lady Blackrose!
I am one of those typical Filipinos who, at times, cannot even spare a cent for fashion and other indulgences... and, I am envious of your good fate. I feel guilty of buying such when I could use them for my kids' necessities and small comforts.
I read that you are a nurse and from what I heard from friends working abroad, it isn't an easy job. Sometimes, one has to extend beyond her nursing duties and become, yes, ass-wipers. Go ahead, Lady Blackrose, spend your hard earned money. Sometimes, when a person is lonely, as in your case that you are away from your kin and in a foreign land, one needs to have a form of gratification to mask said loneliness.
It seems that despite the spending spree, something is still missing or else you wouldn't come up with this thread and express your dilemma. Perhaps, it would make you feel better if you could allot some of your budget for shopping to some selfless causes.
Lady Blackrose, the intangible things are those that last forever... Cheer up!![]()

Kris Aquino maybe, certainly NOT a typical Filipina.
Before the mods close this thread per your request, one final suggestion:
Use that money to set up a foundation to help street kids, or put up scholarships for poor deserving children. Maybe join Greenpeace. You'll get a much more satisfying sense of achievement and self-worth.
