    @Regnauld:

    And to make it clear, I was just quoting someone. I was not speaking for myself.

    But I think that quote tells the real nature of prayers: For one thing, it is a self-motivational tool. One of the perks for somebody who believes in 'divine intervention' or a 'supreme being'.

    But I'll pass. There are more less fancy, more 'economical' yet far more effective motivational tool a man can use.
