This is a lil' off topic,

But I already saved up some cash for a 360 this Xmas. Though I'm having doubts with all these 3RL, RRoD, etc.. Are there ways from preventing these from happening?

yup, there are ways of preventing it. I dont know how but usually they add something to ur system that helps ur system cool a bit down so that it wont get so hot...

kita ku sa youtube na naa sila gibutang na paste sa GPU chip inside sa motherboard sa imu XBOX...
mu-cool down daw to siya sa chip... also... gi-ilisan nila ang heatsink ug mas daku-daku...
all in all... tulo tuh kabuuk GPU chips ang gipahiran nila ug paste para mu cool-down...

if i were you... after dayun nimu pagpalit sa imu xbox... imu dayun ilisan ang heat sink....

actually, ang nakadaut man gud sa xbox is dili nindut ang heatsink na gigamit nila sa microsoft...

Bro, just go find an xbox arcade system kay mas reliable pa ni sila nga model kaysa older version. But before buying the unit, make sure to check of manufacturing date. Paningkamuta lang nga ang date is around October 2008 coz you will get the jasper chipset which they claim nga 2% chance of getting 3rl.
