    ive read a news article posted in Cebu Doctors fuente, that most of the nursing students study nursing just to go abroad and earn dollars, once they get to their destination, they just work there for 2-3 months, then go awol. I find it odd that nursing students now are so sosyal and sexy and pretty, do you think these type of students want to work in a dirty hospital, and serve disease, sick, ugly people? hmmmnnn, i dont think so

    i hope wala ko maka-igo, but in reality, nursing is a "dirty" job, manual, basic hardcore, to serve the sick.dili ni pwede sa mga walay kubal sa kamot, hehe.
    they go awol, baka pina-pirate ng iba. which could reflect NEGATIVELY to Filipino nurses in general.

    "DIRTY" nga, di naman considered as BLUE COLLAR job, PROFESSIONAL pa nga ang turing...kaya nga di masyadong pinapansin ng mga PUTI tong PROFESSION na ito. which is an opportunity in OUR behalf....if you view this NEGATIVELY, problema mo na yan.

    arte-arte mo, kami beh...nursing is not just a profession...its an ART.<===dili ART-ey.hahaha

    i don't think ORCGOD is being MAARTE. he's just stating what is a FACT. let's face it, NURSING is a DIRTY job. take note though, just because IT IS DIRTY doesn't mean it's not PROFESSIONAL. you can do a dirty job and be professional at the same time, and be noble at that.

    it's not viewing the profession negatively but it's looking it a reality standpoint. again, the question arises---why Americans don't like being a nurse? and again, let's face reality, nursing is not the nicest profession in the world, at least for the Americans. para nila, daghan ma trabahoan diha nga dakog sweldo dili kay nursing ra. mao nay difference sa pinoy. para sa pinoy, nursing ray nahibaw-an.

    its not really against the NEGATIVE outlook on the NURSING PROFESSION, but the SITUATION it presented.

    some SEE/VIEW it negatively....others see it as an OPPORTUNITY.<===why most PUTI dont pick up this profession.
    *an opportunity which is starting to close its doors(USA), with obama promoting american nurses than foreign imports...di ba??

    IMO, if you compete in the PUTI dominated field...most often, mauuna talaga ang PUTI. unless, you are that exeptional.IMO.<====same rationale why some local pinoy doctors ended up as nurses in foreign soil. gusto ng mga PUTI mag doctor eh. but dont view this as a hindrance for becoming a doctor in abroad though....if you really want it, gotta work hard for it.

    possible OT: FYI lang sa tanan ha...na mag think na mau ang mga foreign nurses compared sa pinoy! d permi oi ky ang lamang lang nila sa ato ky permi sila updated sa skills and technology. pero kung skill or utokay lang and hatagan ug same exposure ang pinoy RN, mas naa ta utok ug skills ky nila no! poor lang gyud ta sa exposure, grabe! sa ila na side...wat u read in those NCLEX books truly happens in reality here. mao feeling nato mau sila!

    kapila na na instance na daghan na sila (puti or itom RN) naa bulilyaso sa patient. ngita lang na sila ug kapasanginlan permi. ngita lusot, tapulan pa kau.

    though wa mn pa ni compare dri ron...ni una nalang ko ug sulti ako ra pod ni opinion! di sa pag alsa sa atong bangko or panghambog.
