I think Smart only bought umobile (now Red) just to use its 3G license. How else can you explain the near absence of the prepaid call cards and ads for Red Mobile? Smart is not smart enough to promote another network to compete with Smart buddy.

well it's not really competing with Smart buddy since they still own Red mobile, but for them it is. That's why they failed to promote Addict mobile, is failing at promoting Talk n Text, and will fail promoting Red mobile..
