i'm still in the GAME...processing for residency if all goes well (must BEHAVE). hahaha

it also kinda boils down what type of person you are. so i'm speaking for my behalf and my preferences. half full?? or half empty?? hahaha

if you ever get your chance to GET OUT...consider yourselves LUCKY, i did.(depends where you are going to anyway, there are other places i consider worst than our country.)

if you sign up for the LIFE ABROAD...homesickness is part of the package. learn to COPE(effectively pud unta ineffective coping will soon be another problem), ADAPT and roll with the punches.

tip for first timers, espats and the likes: EXPECT THE WORST. at least you'll be PREPARED if things go tumbling down.
start thinking how to COPE with such CHANGE.

    in FOREIGN SOIL:
BOREDOM?? get busy. distract yourself. pick up a HOBBY. DO SOMETHING.some work too much i do some times, but not that OFTEN.hahaha

FRIENDS?? its all about SOCIAL SKILLS. get out and meet some people...or STAY ONLINE.hahaha

dont OVERWORK yourself too much...all work no PLAY will make you a ZOMBIE.unya ang KWARTA?? unsaon nimo ang daghang KWARTA kung dili pod gastoson===>SPLURGED my first paycheck...for emotional support and compensation, there was no NEED nor WANT category that day.hahaha

DO treat yourself once in a while, give yourself a pat on the back. buy stuff you LIKE, "potek pinag herapan kow toh!!" enjoy the fruits of your labor...as often as possible for me.

kung di mo ma take...di makaya...then go back home. there is no shame in going back if you cant take it. KNOW YOUR LIMITS.

naa man daghan state sa US nga overflowing with Filipinos. and naa sad sila support groups didto. anyway, ang akong mom worked there for 26 years now and she told me she didn't regret it. although mingaw siya nako iya nalang agwantahon and thinks of the good education seh can give me. anyway, mag-sige man sad ko ug bisita sa akong mom.

subjective au on how each people view life abroad. ang uban they like it there kay ang reward sa imong work kay relatively much greater than here. ang uban doesn't kay they can't see themselves living without family and relatives like haw we are used to over here. some have a good coping mechanism while some don't. so depending on each individual, life abroad may or may not be paradise.

kung emperno imo lantaw sa imong trabaho o kahimtang....bisag asa pa ka ibutang o malagput. emperno ra gihapon na.

its not the PLACE that is the PROBLEM...it is one's OUTLOOK. IMO.
