It's good to hear the other side of the story. I'm no friend of Pier One people, but I really thought of contacting them because of the bad publicity they are getting through this thread.

I myself have helped organized functions at major hotels here in Cebu as well as in one in Manila (Makati Shangrila) and have learned from first-hand experience that the organizing committee makes or breaks an event.

Seems like misunderstanding caused by wrong expectations.

pier 1 food actually is really affordable but you got the taste of what you pay for... or its like they put up an image na okey kaayo ilang food in which its not.. (or lahi lang akong taste buds)

Based on experience sa Parkmall, dili fresh ilang tuna kay katol na siya. ilang pancit canton kay murag "instant lucky me" then ilang beef and mushroom kay murag sa carenderia lang. we only enjoyed beer and pulutan but we can always have that somewhere else di ba?

they're putting up an image something like PierOne is the Number One bar and grill resto in Manila. matuk-an man pud ta. hehe. actually, i've been to PierOne Ortigas and in Q.C.. ingon-ana lang jud na ang Pierone, overrated ra kaayo.

Dude, the "representative" made a very stupid post. He stated that mao na dili sila pagamiton sa instruments kay dili sila mubayad sa champagne when infact, they asked for the payment
AFTER the party.So in short, either they have time-travelling staff who knew they weren't gonna pay or that post was pure bullcrap.

dili gyud sila pagamiton instruments from the very beginning, even before the event date nag ask na sila and wa sila nahatagan permission. so i'm just refuting their statement that a promise was broken. and i'm just stating the point that naa man gani sa contract they have to pay after the function what they ate or drank, wa man gani sunda. unsaon nalang kaha kung naguba ang instruments and it's not in the contract that they will pay if maguba nila, the more dili sila mubayad. that's the point i am making.
