sa akong experience. if an operator wala sarili na transmission backbone, lisud ang roll-out.
they may use the latest technology, they would still be limited to the transmission facilities na ila makuha from telicphil or pldt.

or worst maabtan na lang bag-o na technology, wla pa na maroll-out.... hehehe..

coz in the end, competition will benefit the consumers..

And to add to last comment, I would also think other telecom giants will surely adjust Tech wise to a new competitor. It wouldnt surprise me if latter is in the works for 2009
