Has anyone given a formal declaration of war? What the Philippine media and perhaps government officials trying to give people a reason to fight on calls it and what the world stage calls it is different. Nobody outside the Philippines will tell you there is a war in the Philippines, not even the Philippine government will tell the world that the Philippines is involved in a war. Who would the Philippines be at war with? ... what is there to gain if the Philippines were to win this war? Territory? A Philippine government? ... which they already have? What you have described good sir is NOT a war. The word war has been used time and time again to sensationalize a given objective, a goal ... just as it is used in "the war on terror" or "the war on drugs" ... which are NOT wars ... not even close to what has been mentioned ... a civil war. Vietnam == War. Iraqi Freedom == War. Insurgents != War.

I cannot blame you. I've had my share of bad experiences with such people, but I've also had my share of bad experiences with people from ALL OVER the Philippines, regardless of region or religious affiliation. There is always a rotten apple in a basketfull of apples, as there are rotten oranges in a basketfull of oranges. If you take a step back and see the bigger picture, you cannot automatically label a certain group of people nga "kana silang tanan, ing-ana dyud ang batasan nila" and start contemplating thoughts like "dapat i-hurot ug massaker na sila..."
