^That's true. The one thing I am grateful for is the fact that I am not obliged to send my parents any money. I send them stuff once in a while on special occasions (birthdays, holidays etc etc), pero dili gyud nang monthly nga naay koy obligasyon nila.

There are some people nga mao gyud intawon nagbuhi sa ilang pamilya sa Pinas, lisod kaayo kay sometimes murag magsalig nalang ang mga taga Pinas sa ilang kapamilya nga abroad, dili nalang maningkamot ug ilaha. Sila didto nagpa sitting pretty lang, cgeg tan-aw telenovela, unya intawon ang nagbuhi nila nabakol nalang ug tinarbaho.

This is so true. I send money home every month, ako bread-winner sa amo. I don't really mind even if I have to do it til the rest of their lives. It's paying back the people who took care of me. It's ironical though, I tend to stop thinking about myself just to make their lives comfortable there.

Dili man jud ingon nga nindot didto sa US. I've been there for 3 months. I went to various states like NY, DC, Atlanta, etc. Met some old friends who are working there. Makita nako and even from their own words daghan kag kwarta pero mingaw kaayo ang life. Tapad-tapad ra ang mga balay but wala ka kaila sa imong silingan. Iyahay lang mog panginabuhi. I had the opportunity to extend my stay for another 2 months but I refused the offer. I missed the Philippines. I'm better off here than there (at least for now). Kaya pa man sa akong sweldo buhi-on akong family. But I'm thinking of going back there if things wont work out right. The point is daghan lang kag matigom didto and you dont have to worry about money to buy food. Dili parehas diri nga mag problema tag para palit maka-on. Problem lang didto again is mingaw kaayo. Naa kay friends ang balay pud nila kay tag 30 or 50 miles away. Whew.

3 months lang ka didto and wala naka ganahi? hehe... what more if you stay in the US permanently.
