Thread: Poetry anyone?

    islands, we are

we are alone in this together
    patched moments cast to forever.

as we carved our moments into
stones, we chopped down a forest
    exposing ourselves for the quarry.

when finally a storm came we
    climbed into the pinnacle while
    watching the world
    in muted horror,
as the squalor below us clench
    their teeth on weak branches

    Fate was cruel and yet
    on their demise only
    carved stones stood
to the end as we see
    tulips glow in bloom
    (floods captured our eternity;
    our two lips lay entwined).

    this is how
    our town drowned.

    and stood three lost continents
    we are one: as lovers.

    Latest Injury, Minor Burns

    Cigarette embers trickle
    between fingers
    that hold it up.
    A blister prevailing,
    turning into a nasty
    red blotch.

    I did this
    without meaning
    to burn myself.

    And it has kept me
    sleepless
    even more.

    sachant

    en arrivant,
tu es en train de partir
et demain sera hier rapidement comme
ces lettres sera seulement des mots
    et tout sera avant

    à saisons sans jours
    à heures sans le temps--

sachant que je ne sais pas
    entre le pris et d'inviter;
il n'y a pas en restant,
    il est tout une visite;

    et vous me partirez

    avec les étoiles,
    le café
    et le vin.

    dialogues: a prelude to ennui

as our tongue lash out bitter ironies, we fail to grasp the gravity of its subtleness. like a context fraught with metaphors, we are eaten by its urgent claim of symbolism. oh, we have had so much to hope for... yet we have learned that inasmuch as we want to burn down bridges our chance of survival approaches to naught. yet this claim to apathy doesn't measure up, like a glass frothing at its brim.

but its easier to find comfort at the thought, that in the end, everyone dies alone.

"we are marooned in this lifeless blue," you said.

"i never gave so much thought about it but i am jaded as gray..."

"well well, i can't be surprised. for someone who draw colors from shattered monotones, you're as sensitive as a urinal."

    "i feel weary as old..."

..and it comes as a fact that the sooner you are born you start dying.
this is an ode to the now, and the living. 'cause we believe in the NOW.

    ” NEVER ENDING GLEE “

    patiently i waited…
    yearning a love so blessed…
    a gallant fearlessly came…
    hooked a heart with tame…

    gone were the bad days…
    done all the crying phase…
    bigotries kicked…
    and buttheads got killed…

    …gaiety amuses me
    …heart echoes so loudly
    …love fills the surface
    …eternal ardor ablaze

    …heavenly feelings at it’s crest
…for sure i have the best
    …fate brought him to me
    …a never ending glee —<@

    sige, apil ko ani.

I am dying with each happenstance of uncertainty
Every moment apart, my soul pecked
Every inch distanced, my soul shred'd
Every trace of warmth angst replaced
    Ice as the intoxicating bliss
    I swallow along with pride

But yearning burns the eternal fire
This vigil I keep a wake
The hours and miles are but stones
But your words are daggers I grasp unsheathed to keep afloat

    Come back to me
Torment this imagination I dream wide-eyed
    Breathe words, substantiate my bearing
Though it be the death of me
Though it be the end of me
I can only wish as a fool
