this is good news...so if the new teleco company can offer a cheaper alternative then other major telco players in the market will have to dive with their cost pud. specially kaning smart kay kusog raba kaayo mangawat ug load.
Mobile broadband sucks in terms of speed. If you have low signal it can go as low as 100kbps. Plus the signal is not that stable. Even Verizon or Sprint mobile broadband has like 1/8th the speed of regular DSL.
It may be mobile or go anywhere internet connection but it just serves as far as that feature.
No signal stability speed really is slow. But advertisements may say the contrary.
I'm not promoting other DSL companies here but based on experience Speed is really slow in Mobile Broadband connection.
The best Internet connection and the most stable and fastest for home use would be Cable. Fiber optic may be very expensive.
You have a point, but take note the technology they will be using is not the same as Verizon or any other mobile broadband. Verizon and almost all other mobile broadband technology right now are only using 3G or HSDPA technology, which is very unreliable. When San Miguel will be able to offer this new services to us with the use of Wi-Max technology that's the time we can compare Wi-Max from 3G and see which one is superior. May we have a better broadband service!![]()
I did some bit of research on Wi-max.. Needless to say, it was all filled with technical jargon that I, with my non-technical mindset, could not comprehend.. All I wanted to find out was what is it's advertised internet speed.. Anyone have any idea?
