karon pami mutan aw....
relationships and scenes that were clearly established in the book weren't given much significance in the movie. for example:
> cedric's relationship with his dad
> the Quidditch world cup (pero grabe stunning ang effects.. nagnganga jud ko ani!)
> they forgot the riddle of the sphinx
> how barty crouch jr. escaped from Azkaban
> Priori Incantatem ba to nga curse? -> wasn't explained that much when it fact it was one of the highlights of the movie
> why neville was crying. for those who ddnt read the book, they would never know that the curse performed by mad eye was the same one that killed his parents.
> i miss draco's sneers.wala kaayo na establish ang iyang role. and di ba crabbe and goyle were supposedly dark eaters?
@yen: yes, Beauxbatons is an all-girl school. i think it was stated in the book.
hmmm.. but lagi, i'll stick with my opinion. considering the super length of the book, it was a good summary of how they were able to pull things together for the movie. the effects lagi oi, grabe! and you can really see the maturity of the characters already. you can feel them growing up.
and the ending, i liked the beauxbatons' flying carriage with the horses and the durmstrang's ship in the end. it was a different setting compared to what we are accustomed from the last 3 movies wherein harry was set off at the train by either hagrid and his friends.
Di ba sa Half-Blood Prince naman nagpartake na gyud ang mga 'sons' sa mga DeathEaters?Originally Posted by thisbe.ara

@thisbe.ara - Beauxbatons is coed in the book.Â* I remember that it was a Beauxbaton male student who asked one of the Patil twins for a dance in the book, not a Durmstrang male student (which was in the movie).
I think Durmstrang is also coed.Â* I remember at least one Durmstrang girl student was mentioned in the book.
Will try to post excerpts from the book.Â* It's easier to find the Beauxbaton one since it happened during the dance.Â* The Durmstrang one is harder to find.
Posting three of my likes and then three of my dislikes.Â* =)
What I like:
1.Â* Neville has a bigger role.
2.Â* The second (underwater) task was nicely done!Â* I like how they did the ?BubbleHead Charm?.Â* Was really expecting a fishbowl helmet thing.Â* I think the veil-thing looked nicer.
3.Â* Snape trying to make Harry and Ron stop talking.Â* lol
What I don't like:
1.Â* No Dursleys.Â* No Weasleys getting crammed tight as sardines in the fireplace.
2.Â* No Archie - that wizard in the feminine nightgown scene before the Quidditch World Cup.Â*
3.Â* No Bill, no Charlie, no Percy and his cauldron bottom reports...Â* No Snuffles!Â* (awww...!)
very nice movie, the effect was so great.... Yummy kaayo c fleur oi...gwapa jud sya. Lagut lang ko kai la kaayo cya script sa salida..., labi najud c cho chang...sige lang ug smile...kadiyut rajud cla nag talk ni harry.
the last part of the movie when cedric was died and his father ming syagit sa kaguol grabe ka touching.![]()
nyheeheh..the movie's story was hella fast compared to the book..dobey was supposed to give the gellyweed to Harry, well i guess they don't have much time to make a dobey/winky character coz of the dragon scene.
yeah the dragon scene was spectacular!
If they followed the book page by page, how long do you think the movie would be? 6 hours? 10? Would you be willing to sit through more than 3 or 4 hours of a movie?
well the story in the book is great..maybe they could have make a two part movie of it
well, if they were going to make the movie exactly the same with the novel, as in scene per scene gyud, it would probably take at least 5 or 6 hours gyud...Originally Posted by cebu_tux
I just saw the movie and frankly I like it but Im a little disappointed...
I like the movie effects and how the characters have changed...
They cut-off too many important scenes as well as some of the key characters did not make an appearance...
