fingolfin: i find your rules too absurd. the growth of every forum facilitates "freedom of expression" and "freedom of speech". you cannot limit ideas if we all govern by rules. kindly exercise tolerance because i do believe that the person who expressed his opinion is not derogatory in nature and he has exercise his expression of disgust and not belittling to others especially that it is not his repetitive intention to downgrade the person. Once again, kindly exercise maximum tolerance.
@JedCrack, yes, in a forum, one has the previlege to express their opinions. But in doing so, one must be conscious to not degrade his/her fellow forumers.
let me give you an illustration:
what if you ask me a question, for example:
jedcrack: what color is that??
fingolfin answer #1: that's the color blue.
fingolfin answer #2: that's the color blue, what are you color blind, buy a set of crayons next time.
see the difference? answer #1 was done in a polite manner, while #2 has a side comment, which of course, is insulting. There's reallly no point in giving out mocking statements just to speak out your view.
The forum rules was made with much thinking and many things were considered before it was finalized. https://www.istorya.net/forums/index.php?topic=1959.0
ayaw nalang mo lalis mods bay kay they know what they are doing or else dili unta ni ing ani ka nindot ang istorya..lets just help make cebu the most livable city in asia by 2015..![]()
JedCrack
and let me reiterate rule # 15
15. Do not argue with the enforcement of these Rules and Regulations. If you are requested to comply, comply. Persistent violations will result in a ban.
so, i suggest before you say this i find your rules too absurd read the rules.....https://www.istorya.net/forums/index.php?topic=1959.0
And since the vigilantes are now PROTECTED MURDERERS AND HITMEN, they are the ones mocking the law. They can kill even the innocent, do all the colateral damage they want, and NOT get caught. THEY MOCK THE LAW THEY WANT TO PROTECT.Originally Posted by fingolfin

By the way, since you're so hot about following rules, then why do you make excuses for these vigilantes who BREAK THE LAW?
fingolfin: I am not arguing with you and I hope you are a considerate kind of a person especially this is the second time to express my concern. If you find my first post argumentative in nature, then I would consider this as my last post since I find no time to argue and I express my concern if you have the heart to make this forum great. My first post is a word of advice from the silent group of the forum in which it has to speak its mind or else the forum will lost its meaning. I am one of the forumers who would welcome such comments and I hope you will allow my "freedom of choice". I would rather hear the bad side of things than just sugar-coat the problem. I would rather hear the comments from courageous people than people are afraid because of the rules. People are people that comes in all kinds of packages and that includes even being tackless from their mouth, at least we heard their voices and speak freely without hesitation. And the saying goes "Talo ang Pikon", if we follow our feelings than our intellect, we are as ignorant. Then I would say this forum falls to be a religious in nature and being legalistic. As what I expressed my first post, KINDLY EXERCISE TOLERANCE.
Once again, I expressed my concern and kindly not being a closed minded person.
(note: My last sentence does not mean to downgrade you but I used it as a figure of speech. I hope you get the idea why I open up this concern.)
Best regards to all.. I think this would be my last post.
... message moved to a more appropriate thread.
the problem isnt about the freedom of expression. The problem is the way things are presented. I myself can tolerate sarcasm and tacklessness.. But comments such as this:[ author=JedCrack link=topic=51873.msg1272558#msg1272558 date=1132239957]

So maybe you'll only learn how much oif an idiot you are
can't be left unnoticed.
and back to the discussion.... well, the problem with our justice system is that it is corrupt, our law is corrupt. even someone caught red handed and all the evidence is being laid against him/her, if he can get a good lawyer then he/she can still escape punishment. vigilante killings is a radical way. But there's a flaw with this vigilantes, they are only clearing out the "small time" crooks. No "big fish" has been snagged yet. As the saying goes; cut off the head and the body will cease to function. If they can eliminate the criminal lords in our city then maybe Cebu will attain that goal by 2015.
@ FINGOLFIN ... bai naa pod tay sinultihan na " putla ang ugat aron di na mamuwak ang tanom " whom the small time crooks are literally located in the bottom of the barrels comparable to the roots of the plants / trees .
