    Talking OT

We need real patriotic leadership. We need someone like Marcos to get things done.

    Amen.
make up ALL THE RULES? Get your facts straight, Jack! It is the National Labor Relations Commission who makes up all the rules. Companies have to ABIDE by them. And further more, Patriotic Leadership was best set by President Ramon Magsaysay. He embodied the true spirit of the Filipino and the kind of ATTITUDES that we should all be having. Marcos was merely a dictator, an orator, and a Manager. True leadership inspires, not threaten or demoralize. Not even Marcos can save the Philippines today.

Now I'm no hypocrite, but sarcasm and a mouth to go with it is precisely why we all don't see the big picture. Our government is not a smart businessman, unlike our neighboring Asian countries. Our government sees the short term and never the long term. Why do you think people in China DO NOT own land. they merely lease it and pay rent to the government. Kita ngari, bayad rata buwis. Tax Revenues are nothing compared to Rent Revenues. And of course, savings. Singapore and China are prefect examples of hardwork, diligence, and perseverance. If Singapore had not closed their country and become self sufficient, then they would not be as productive and successful as they are now.

Poor attitude and lack of cooperation is the current malaise that the citizenry is feeling right now. We whine, yet we fail to do the work that is needed in order to be successful. It is a sad sad state. Yes, I know it is difficult to remain patriotic and full of morals when we are starving and dying and nothing in history has ever proven that we can eliminate any of our problems all on our own. We became "free" from the Spaniards because Spain and the US had already conjured up a deal. We were rid of the Japanese invaders because the US "returned" and slaugthered the lot of the Japanese in Leyte and went straight forward to victory. The only success story I can think of was the time when we got rid of the Marcoses in 1986. and even during that time, the economy was doing better than the current situation.

I have yet to hear comments on my choice of the Super Tucano and the Spectre for the PAF.

Dog, hands down with the AC-130 but that if we are the US. Strategically, we don't need that kind of firepower in the Philippines.

What we need are VTOL's and low maintenance ground support A/C's. If the US will allow us to rent the Warthogs (A-10) then, we already have a hell of fireworks.

Add the list the versatile Harrier Jump jets so we don't need to build runways in the Spratlys. Not to mention Harriers are ruthless ground support aircraft that can double as interceptor aircraft.

Wishlist is the F/A-18 but that's to much a cost.

That is the most appropriate for the Phils. right now, low maintenance aircrafts. We can garner enough leverage with the incoming US Pres., we should be able to get our hands on those aircrafts that we need and bomb the commies back to the stone age.=D kill 'em all! yipee kay-yey!

A-10s is a tank buster... it was designed to destroy tanks..

Su25 is better than the A10's plus lower cost and maintenance...

It depends on what type of armaments you fit the A-10 with. Depleted Uranium shells are specifically for tanks busting so we dont need to have that. That includes also Hellfire and other anti-armor missiles. The A-10 is the most versatile ground support aircraft to date.

SU25 is good but only if you can have the reliable spare parts supply. Russia can't be trusted when it comes to spare parts availability. That's why many countries opted US or Euro-made planes. Design-wise the SU-25 doesn't fair better than the A-10.

Yay our country cannot afford to buy fighter jets mas gipa labi pa nila personal wallet sa mga politicians and military officers. Instead our country should invest on helicopters and attack helicopters, our country is in the front line for typhoons and having Chinooks & other helicopters can help in the rescue mission.
