who gets hired sa callcenter? mga nursing graduates!!!!
[QUOTE=|nCuBabE;3243131]@mrxxxx: am pretty sure you've not experienced being an agent, know why? not all customer's would yell abusive words to you by using "slang words". There are so many reasons why customer is irate when you received their call, i say to you that one common reason why they are mad is due to the service that they paid for but they were not able to enjoy it..! they get pissed off when agents don't really care at all..
don't say that agents are using "slang words" for its really a ding in our part when we use street language. you don't really have any idea how professional we are when we treat customers..![/QUO
I'm not saying that you are going to use that word in entertaining a costumer.Actually, my professor told me that this word is "uneducated words".If you have any doubt then go back to your school where you belong and ask your english professor about that kind of words.ok!!! joke ra ha ayaw dib2x ba...
where's your professor from? not ALL uneducated people in America use slang words; and not ALL educated people DO NOT use slang words. careful of your generalizations.
anyway, i just heard in the news this morning that DELL is offering something to customers. for an additional $12/month, customers are guaranteed that they would speak to a customer service agent who is actually FROM and LOCATED in the United States.
this is pure BS from Dell. Dell is becoming so ridiculous.
Ridiculous because of their extra charge? Hehehe I have to agree.
But come on, I've had really bad experiences talking to "pinoy call center agents". And I'm telling you this really honestly, no BS's.
Customer Service in the United States is very different from Filipino Customer Service. We are actually not as nice as them. I tell you... tinuod ni. I have never had a complain nga nanawag ko for ex. sa akong bank nga gisapot ko, never. You know why? Because they know how to handle customers. Ang pinoy? Sus nalang... mailhan gyud nimo nga naglagot na nimo, sa tono pa lang, sa eninglesan. See, no matter unsa pa na kalagot imong kaistorya... you have to understand... there are underlying reasons why.
There's a reason for this... you're not in the States. It's different when you see just how much competition you have around and how much value you think you are to a big company.
Who gets hired and work in a call center? Just about anybody who knows how to speak English fluently.
^oh c'mon. are you saying that excellent customer service is exclusive to americans?
DELL's "premium support service" is more on the language aspect of customer service--additional fees for customer service reps who don't speak "broken english."
well i couldn't say that its for american only because even me i speak "broken english" but guess what?? i got hired and will be working this jan, there are many pinoys out there who speak english fluently and they sound good just like americans. filipino people are very talented.
I'm not saying exclusive but commonly, majority... daku ug difference. If you care to look around you, most front people there are rude and impatient.
Dell's premium support service for additional money? Perhaps the company has come to a point of acceptance, that many of their customers are dissatisfied from calling their 1-800 number and be answered by someone who can't speak/express/explain/interpret english that well and are really disheartened by that fact. There's a difference if someone explains something to you effectively. That someone who knows and understands what comes out of their mouth and knows their job by heart. When asked about something... they read from what's on their screen, sahay ang tubag dili mao. Good command of the language is communicating right. Listening and answering questions right.
Naa man gyuy discrimination diri... naa gihapo'y daghang racists. A lot of americans feel that these jobs are taken away from the American people. Kinsa may ilang buntungan sa ilang kalagot? Ang company diay? nga most of the time it's the person on the other end. That could be a reason why they're usually rude and difficult.
Qualifications lang siguro daan, lamang na sila diri. A lot of customer service companies give out questionnaires during the interview process "personality test"... not everyone is apt to be a customer service person. There are certain personalities who are best for customer service... not everyone. Kana lang daan nga basta kamao lang ka mo english dawaton naka ug call center diha sa ato, patay na ta daan. Daghang mangapply diri ug ingon nga trabaho, dili tanan dawaton.... because of that trait requirement. Bisan moana pa sila I can be trained.
Dell's enterprise account's customer service reps are really really good. As in... there are times we can't troubleshoot hardware here where I work, they're usually our last resort... that is if the machine still has warranty. I tell you... they are very efficient and honestly I don't think outsourced workers can even get to that level, probably just a few.
The premium account option perhaps is given to customers who would prefer to talk to reps who are actually in the States. Freedom of choice. They hire Filipinos to do the job because it is very cheap labor with mediocre/acceptable quality. For the price? Not really exceptional. It is true you get what you give for.
