SCSI is easier to repair than IDE, coz "auto-remap of bad sectors" man if u have the right repair software.

Hi sir Ruelnov, where can we find the right repair software, dili man gud namo ma-pull-out ang server, we can do maintenance but limited time only...

also, duda ra namo ang Harddisk, gusto ra namo ma prove nga wala sya problem before mi mo proceed next step...

it comes with the SCSI Card naman bro if Adaptec ang card.

upon boot up and before Windows is loaded, the SCSI drive & SCSI Controller will be detected, and there's a key u need to press for SCSI Diagnostics & Repair.

Does this test will check the 2 HD one at a time or as a mirror disk.

this test will check 1 drive at a time.

@scarab: bai.. kung wala nay warranty imong server.. check the manual first.
usually naay 3 LED lights status indicator per drive ang mga RAID systems.

what's the prob with your server man diay? hinay? mu hang?

hi @Cebutech, out of waranty na sya, nya usa ra ka LED and naa per drive.... the problem is everytime mag autoback-up sya sa database mu hang...

ok the reason i asked if mu hang is because mao nay na experience nako with HP servers. basta dautan na ang drive, either mu hang ang system or if not, ok ra ang server bisan mamatay ang usa ka drive unya u can easily see the status using the LEDs. so far wala ko ka encounter ug HDD probs with our Fujitsu servers. some running since 1998.

thanks Bro, I will check what is the brand of the HD and perform the test from the website you had given...

nag-reinstall na man ko ug OS then ang mga application softwares, but mao ra gihapon...mu hang kung mag back-up sa database....

I will let you know sa result pag nahuman na ko...daghang salamat..
