Did you know that you can can check your phone's date of manufacture right at the back, except for the nokias where you have to check it from their website. Service centres will know whether if it is in warranty by adding 15 months (12months warranty + 3 months shelf life) from the manufacture date, well its the case here in UK dont know how they do it there. How? I had it posted as another topic

yes with nokia partner website access, you can check where the unit came from (or actual country it supose to be released) as well as if its under warranty or not based on its IMEI.

however, even though i have access to 2 different partner sites. in many cases the IMEI is not in the database! wierd nga eh its as if the unit doesnt exsist hehehe. its not a full proof in that regards. also the estimate 15months isnt accurate always, thus its the recipt when the phone was purchase acts as the final reference for warranty status.

yes, i guess its case to case its up to the service center on how they decide for the warranty, well in our case thats how we decide. So far we managed to check phones shipped to most parts of europe.

Did you know... that there is only 1 difference between DKU-5 and DKU-2 usb cable for nokia. That the DKU-2 cable supports music to be transfered while the DKU-5 does not.

notice why all mp3 capable units ng nokia uses DKU-2 and not DKU-5
