Thumbs up Let's Talk About Suffusions

Here's a picture of an ALBS1 Lutino Peach Face Suffusion. This beauty once belonged to me when she was just 2 months old and she didn't look like that. She just looks like an ordinary Lutino PF. She has a bit of abnormality of her right feet though. I already sold her to a neighbor when she was still young and didnt have that beautiful color yet.

What can you say about it's color? Is it a mutation or what? So let's now talk about SUFFUSIONS!

Lutino Peach Face Suffusion. It really is a beauty..

    Default Lutino PF Suffusion

    Just to share...

I got this bird from a friend who said that the birds parents were b2b lutino pf. This bird is a hen and paired w/ lutino pf and is now incubating her eggs. Hope there would be a male chick once the eggs hatches so I could try inbreeding hoping to produce one even though they say that the color is not a mutation and only results from dietary problem or liver disfunction ...

    From the internet:
Suffusion typically appears as a series of "spots." It is generally believed that the spots are caused by some sort of dietary problem, or liver disfunction while the feathers were developing, which caused them to become differently pigmented. The problem may well have resolved itself before the differently colored feathers are ever noticed...

I have another suffusion before (also a hen) but it's young and after sometime the spots decreases until it's all gone. Hope the bird in the pic will not loose it's spots on the 2nd moult...
