Game and Graphics programming

Sigh... true. Java games run on phone emulators run fast but when deployed on actual phones, they run slower compared to games developed natively
for either the phone\'s proprietary OS, Symbian OS, PalmOS or PocketPC. Eclipse and Symbian have committed to providing open-source tools to develop
Symbian apps but the announcement is recent so it could be a year before we see such tools. In the meantime, I agree with the others, learn the theories
first.

I used to study BS Computer Science in USC, but I had to shift to Associate ComSci because of imposed "requirements". I don't even know what my year level was. Maybe I was in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd yr... I dunno.

Last sem, I dropped out of college in order to work for an Information Security firm (I was 19 years old when I was accepted here). I still feel very much like I'm in school though, except that I enjoy it here and I can learn whenever and wherever I want.

I was planning to study part time, but I realized that it would take up much of my time. But hey, the world is my school and Experience is my teacher. I'm learning many things here that are not taught in school. I'll try to see if I can go back to school after 4 years. My parents keep urging me to go back, but I don't see any point on why having "A Degree" is necessary.

Some company or I think all don't regularized undergraduate employee... It's because they want your TOR if they want you to be regular....

In a documentary about the Netscape/Mozilla deal, they hired a 16 year old to help clean up the Netscape code base to jumpstart the Mozilla open source
project so I assume some companies in the US do not give a $#!+ about what your educational background is as long as you can bring something to the
table.Â* I mean how many drop-outs in the US are now multi-millionaires or billionaires.

But I have to agree with xyberblue, the Philippines is diplomatic.Â* Here in our company, those that only finished vocational school do not get the same
opportunities as their college/university peers in terms of career advancement.Â* They still get to go to Japan though so I guess our company is not that
bad.

It's not a discrimination. It's a choice.

Yes, I agree better finish school because people who have degree usually do better than undergrad. It's like C++ programmers are better in C++ than Java programmers.
